Pierre Morgeau, an independent winegrower, a free craftsman, who cultivates his difference while keeping the memory of the Domaine intact.For Pierre, the Terroir is an opportunity and a strength to create his wines: wines that come in white, red and rosé.
The Haut-Poitou vineyard is located south of the Loire River. This southern appellation of the Loire Valley benefits from the oceanic influence.
For more than 25 years, the Domaine La Tour Beaumont has been developing its terroir and its wines.
The family estate, owned by MORGEAU, has existed since the 1860's with 1 hectare of vines at the beginning. Today, it extends over 26 hectares. The Domaine is still located on the typical farm of the end of the 19th century (cellar, stable, barn), now transformed into a wine-making and tasting cellar.
The vines of Domaine La Tour Beaumont are spread over two hillsides, divided by a river: the Clain. One type of soil predominates, corresponding to a well-defined geological age; the Turonian (Upper Cretaceous).
The Beaumont hillside is criss-crossed by numerous cellars dug into the Tuffeau (Tuffeau is the result of a slow and long transformation of sediment into rock). The bottled wines are kept in one of them.
