The hotel houses a monumental staircase decorated with two canvases, and welcomes the City Council and the public during its meetings.

Discover a magnificent neo-Renaissance building with a ceremonial balcony. The façade is decorated with garlands and foliage, and the clock is framed by two statues. A stained-glass window depicts Eleanor of Aquitaine confirming the town's charter as a commune. Built between 1869 and 1875 by Guérinot, the building houses a monumental staircase, reminiscent of the one at the Opéra Garnier. Two paintings by Puvis de Chavannes from 1874 are on display: Saint Fortunat reading poems to Saint Radegonde at Sainte-Croix Abbey, and the Battle of Charles Martel.

Bel hôtel de ville, sur une grande place qui est plutôt sympathique. Nombreux cafés et restaurants autour de la place (qui manque un peu de verdure, mais qui reste à voir à Poitiers!).

L'hôtel de ville de Poitiers est un joli bâtiment bien mis en valeur avec une place spacieuse. Il est situé en plein coeur du centre ville et on peut se détendre juste devant avec des bancs design et colorés. L'intérieur est aussi à voir avec de belles peintures.

Classé aux Monuments historiques, cet hôtel de ville date de la fin du 19è siècle.
A l'intérieur, un bel escalier en marbre blanc.
A l'extérieur, une grande place, centre de la ville.
Faire attention les jours de pluie, ça glisse !
