LES BÖREKS D'OMER
Delicious large patties filled with vegetarian style to be enjoyed on the go in a restaurant in Poitiers.
On Saturdays at the Notre-Dame market and on Sundays at the Couronneries, Sheri and her husband Omer's stand is crowded. For more than 10 years, the couple has been busy behind their "saç", a curved cooking plate brought back from their native Turkish village on which they make their böreks, large patties filled in the vegetarian style, with leeks and spinach, or with meat, to be enjoyed on the go. Prepared in front of your eyes, these böreks are a treat that can be accompanied by other specialties such as stuffed eggplant, dolmas, cheese cigars ... and some sweet delights. It wouldn't take much for a stop at the stand to become a refuelling ritual.
