Savoyard restaurant that prepares hearty and friendly raclettes, pierrades and fondues in Poitiers
On the southeastern slope of our promontory, just a 3-minute walk from the center of town, there's a Savoyard restaurant we love to frequent on cool evenings. In this Poitevin institution, which has been delighting melted cheese addicts for 32 years, you'll travel to the Alps and the snow-covered slopes in a chalet-style setting. Skis, a toboggan, a milk jug and posters of cult quotations keep your curiosity busy, while copious and convivial raclettes (with traditional equipment), pierrades and fondues are prepared. An avalanche of cheese for gourmets, ending with a blueberry tart. When you leave, don't forget to say hello to the house mascot: Myrtille!
