SAINT-HILAIRE CHURCH

This church, made of stones from the underground quarries of the village of Orches, was built in the second half of the 12th century. It has been able to cross the ages by benefiting from multiple embellishment works within it, such as the addition of the seigniorial chapel in the fifteenth century or the bell tower in the seventeenth century, whose entrance is from inside the church. In 2019, the commune has applied to the Heritage Foundation for the restoration of the seigniorial chapel and its ancient paintings.
