Museum featuring paintings and drawings by Henri Plisson in Montmorillon, from the to the century, on a variety of subjects
Raoul Carré, a local artist, donated all his works on his death. In 1936, his death led to the creation of a museum. Inspired by this gift, other local artists followed suit. After restructuring its collections, the museum reopened in 2018. The site offers paintings and drawings (notably by Henri Plisson) from the 18th to the 20th century, on a variety of subjects: rural life, the Montmorillais countryside, the city, portraits...
