The association Les Lusignan and Mélusine highlight the historic and legendary heritage of the city of Lusignan. A permanent exhibition, on three halls, allows to better know the story of Ll and its lords, in relation notably to the crusades, the royalties in Jerusalem, in Small Armenia, etc. This expo is open in summer, on Wednesday all the year and by appointment the rest of the time. Other initiatives are being taken by this passionate association: conferences, outputs, support for university research, etc.

La cité recèle un musée sur la lignée des seigneurs de Lusigan dont l’influence s’étendit jusqu’à Chypre, l’Arménie et Jérusalem. Il contient aussi une salle sur la cité et une autre avec la présentation de Mélusine, la fée dont on voit un portrait en médaillon sur le pilier central du pont ferroviaire qui traverse la vallée de la Vonne. C’est elle qui bâtit en une nuit la tour de Vouvant (Vendée), alors terre des Lusignan au XIIIème siècle. Voilà l’occasion de se replonger dans l’histoire passionnante des Lusignan et les contes de la fée Mélusine.
