CHURCH SAINT HILAIRE DU MARTRAY

Classified as a historical monument since 1921, this building is a beautiful example of flamboyant gothic style with its magnificent 19th century stained glass window, one of the largest in Poitou. Inside, there is a sublime restored painting, a representation of the Virgin and Child, known as Notre-Dame de Recouvrance. The church was built between the 14th and 16th centuries. Until the 17th century, the painting and the statue of the Virgin attracted many pilgrims.
