THE FACTORIES
It is a rare place where "work differently" can be experienced. The Usines project was conceived on the remains of the old Ligugé spinning mill (1856), a listed historic monument, which was the second largest company in the Vienne region until the 1960s. In 2011, four acolytes bought the industrial wasteland that had been abandoned for more than 30 years and had survived the demolition to gradually build (or re-build) a cross-disciplinary work space where the arts and crafts rub shoulders with those of the digital world and the environment. The credo of the AY128 association is to bring people together and share networks. But Les Usines is also a place for individuals and to be a volunteer there is to participate in its rehabilitation, in the maintenance of the shared gardens, in the creation of new projects through working groups where many themes are addressed, to access the training and service offer (space rental, fablab, creation residence...). And to discover the fablab and its machines, no need to join. You can join us on Tuesdays from 7 to 10 pm for the open workshops. You will learn a lot! Do you want to stock up on good organic and/or local products? Visit the market of Les Usines, every Friday from 5pm to 7pm (November-March) and from 5pm to 7:30pm (April-October).
