On the banks of the Charente, on the slopes of Chantegrolle, are the orchards of the Gargouil company. Since 1948 and for three generations, this family-run business has been committed to sustainable agriculture. The six hectares of orchards are certified eco-responsible. Some of the ten varieties of apples, pears and quinces are transformed into flat or sparkling juices, jams, purées or jellies on site in Charroux.
