Historic crypt, one of the oldest in France and one of the remains of Saint-Léger church, built in the late century.
One of the remains of Saint-Léger church, built in the late 7th century to house the relics of Saint Léger, and extensively altered until its partial destruction in 1874. The crypt, one of the oldest in France, was condemned in the 17th century and rediscovered in 1875. Rectangular in shape, it is surmounted by 12th-13th-century double-arched vaults. It contains 2 empty sarcophagi and traces of wall paintings. Its most striking feature is the American graffiti: names, addresses and regiments of US soldiers mobilized in 1917.
