FRANCE 3 POITOU-CHARENTES
France 3 Poitou-Charentes owes its origins to a regional CHAINE channel: Télé-Limoges-Ouest-West. As FR 3 Limousin-Poitou-Charentes in 1975, the "regional" antenna had to wait until December 1991 to broadcast its first local edition. Renamed in December 1992 to France 3 Limousin Poitou-Charentes, the channel became, since January 2010, following a deep reorganisation of France Télévisions, France 3 Poitou-Charentes, with its main information office based in Poitiers and supplemented by various local information offices (La Rochelle, Angoulême, Bressuire and Royan). Although the programme grid remains based on a joint programme produced in Paris and disseminated at the national level by all 24 regional offices, France 3 Poitou-Charentes offers its own programmes such as television news, weather bulletins, or the retransmission of regional or sporting events.
