The city of Niort has a number of activities in store to celebrate Christmas: farmers' and craftsmen's markets, an ice rink and other surprises.

Every winter, as we wait for Santa Claus to arrive, Niort is decked out in lights. Visit the producers' and craftsmen's market at the foot of the dungeon to stock up on local discoveries, the gourmet market on Place de la Brèche, and the tartiflette market on Place du Temple. Your wanderings will be punctuated by stops to marvel at: a skating rink, a toboggan run (30 m), a merry-go-round and many other surprises... Deux-Sèvres is great in winter too!
