16th century castle with free or guided visits of the chapel, the cellars, the kitchen, the vault of diamond-shaped arches
Built by the Madaillan d'Estissac in the 16th century on the site of the fortress that disappeared with the treaty of the League of Public Good (1465). The work is completed in 1568, honored by the visit of Catherine de Medici, Charles IX and the future Henry III and Queen Margot (1569). In 1849, part of the decorations was sold to the aquafortist Octave de Rochebrune. Self-guided or (audio) guided tours of the chapel, the cellars and the jewel of the castle: its vast kitchen, with its diamond-shaped vault. The building houses the town hall and the tourist office.
