The history of the estate is written over several generations: it was in 1865 that Jean-Baptiste Doussoux bought his first still, and in 1946 that his descendant Jean restarted distillation, which had been abandoned during the war. In 1993, Jean Doussoux and Jean-Marie Baillif created the Domaine du Chêne, and developed the marketing of Pineau des Charentes and Cognac. A complete range is now available, as well as single-varietal pineau 100% Merlot white, (a rare grape variety in the region), produced with vines over 80 years old. A unique nectar.
