Rope factory now housing the Media Library, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Rochefort, offering a free visit
This building, built by order of Louis XIV, houses the International Maritime Center, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Conservatoire du Littoral and a media library. 374 meters long and located in the heart of the naval arsenal, it was used to manufacture the ropes necessary for the sailing ships of the navy. Activities are organized by the International Center of the Sea: birthday formula for children from 6 to 11 years old and mini-stages of seamanage to discover the marine knots. A temporary exhibition is dedicated to Pierre Loti.
