Known for its oyster industry and its close ties with Île Madame, Port-des-Barques is also a popular spot for yachtsmen. But to be in with a chance of a berth, you have to join a waiting list. Allocated according to availability, the mooring is subject to a decree of occupation of the public maritime domain, valid for ten years and renewed at the request of the concession-holder. A shuttle service is available every day in season, and a port agent is on hand every weekend.
