Fort located off Pointe de la Fumée, born of the famous Affaire des Brûlots in Fouras
This fort was born of the famous "Affaire des Brûlots". Faced with the plundering of the island of Aix, Napoleon1st ordered the construction of a fortification on the Enet rock. Although not as well known as Fort Boyard, it's well worth a visit. Located off the coast of Pointe de la Fumée, you'll need to wait for low tide to gain access. So remember to bring suitable footwear and a flashlight for the 30-minute walk. Once there, you'll enjoy a place steeped in history and a delightful view of the Charentais inlet.

Get there on foot at low tide. Be careful, returning to the continent as soon as the sea begins to get up! All around the Fort, you find oysters, mussels, crabs etc... Go there boots
