LA FERME DU MEE
Ferme du Mée, located in Essé, France, is a producer of quality duck foie gras. For 18 years, Frédéric and Anne-Marie Ameline have been striving to produce traditional duck meat. The ducks, of the mulard breed, are force-fed whole corn for at least 13 days in a collective pen. All products are processed on the farm, without colorants or preservatives, using traditional recipes to guarantee authentic, natural flavor. Ferme du Mée offers a variety of preserves, including whole, cooked and semi-cooked duck foie gras, duck leg confit, duck gizzard confit, pure duck rillettes and duck pâté. They also sell fresh foie gras and éveiné, semi-cooked foie gras terrines, smoked and dried magrets, aiguillettes, thighs, rillettes and stuffed necks. Ferme du Mée also offers products by the slice, such as sliced smoked duck breasts and vacuum-packed leg confits with fat.
