This château was built at the end of the 19th century for Emile Pélisson, an eaux-de-vie merchant who wanted a private mansion next to his cellars. He wanted to equip it with an art gallery that never came into being. It was one of his descendants, Alexandre Pélisson, who had a new building built to house his ancestor's large collection of works of art. Château Pélisson, bought in 2009 by the cognac company Bisquit, became Château Bisquit. It has been restored by Gilles Rosier, a French designer who has managed to preserve the originality of the building while rehabilitating it. The specificity of Bisquit cognacs? A longer distillation process that produces round and generous cognacs with a richer aromatic bouquet.
