Warm restaurant with terrace serving well presented and succulent dishes.

Elegant and warm, the reputation of the restaurant La Courtine is well established. Situated in the heart of the François I park in the city of Cognac, it has a terrace overlooking a haven of greenery. Its meticulous decoration is in perfect harmony with its succulent and perfectly presented dishes. As an appetizer, we recommend the perfumed and tasty gorgonzola flan with parma and hazelnuts, followed by a slice of veal liver fried with morello cherries, a marvel or the back of cod roasted with rosemary before finishing gently with a panna cotta with Grand Marnier and candied oranges for example.

recommended by charentais friends, this restaurant has kept its promises: warm welcome, very pleasant setting, shaded terrace, very fast service despite an important crowds during lunch (busload of tourists in particular) and of course the quality of the cuisine. The menu €28 does not leave us on our hunger: large choice of starters, main courses and desserts with local specialties and homemade deliciously prepared (small grey, veal liver) and all accompanied by a very nice local wine and coffee at the end of the meal. The promenade of digestion along Charente was very appreciated!

Quel restaurant chaleureux et quel cadre majestueux avec cette vue imprenable sur La Charente, été comme hiver. Une bonne cuisine faite maison !. je me suis régalée avec le carpaccio de St Jacques et le tartare de bœuf géant à l'italienne et sa montagne de frites !. Mon ami a pris un risotto de la mer que j'ai gouté ... Délicieux. Les serveurs sont très gentils.

It is a great surprise that we discovered that the gourmet restaurant anti in that we had just dined was recommended by the sly little minx... (guide that we consider as serious)
Menu of price, mall cooked dishes (ducks with sins), meat poor quality, vegetables accompanying in an oil bath. (prawns) in short a nightmare. If you add to a poor service and an owner who does not tell you even goodbye because we misfortune feel sorry for us calle up we had just been victim, the evening was really disappointing. Dear friends readers, I invite you to dine elsewhere...
Can be the sly little minx would be recommended for a small round there...
