IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF ALFRED DE VIGNY

Many people are unaware that in the 19th century the estate of Maine Giraud was owned by Alfred de Vigny who came to recharge his batteries and meditate. This romantic poet was also a passionate winegrower. The current owner Mathieu Durand accompanies visitors to help them discover all the facets of the vine and its work. The estate preserves this wine-growing tradition and produces cognac, pineau and vins de Pays charentais in accordance with the Charente tradition.
