This well-known Angoumois brasserie, in the heart of the old town, is all about versatility. You can come here for breakfast or a snack, for à la carte dishes, tapas to share, a drink after work or to extend the evening.
The menu is as varied for cocktails and drinks on the bar side as it is on the plate, with aperitif boards, salads, burgers, meat, fish and desserts, and it's efficient.
Service inside (where you'll appreciate the decor) and on the terrace is fast and attentive, and the waiters are always ready to listen.

Service désagréable...
Même si l’endroit est sympa et que leurs boissons sont bonnes, les serveurs sont très désagréables et oublient constament la moitié des commandes... Franchement dommage, tout était bien sinon, mais la mauvaise ambiance créer par le service change beaucoup de choses...

Agréable déco, personnel souriant et service efficace au Chat Noir. Belle adresse pour une pause gourmande.
A nice bar in the market district in Angoulême. The welcome and the atmosphere are tip top.
