Dishes in individual jars: the Vrai & Bon range

Founded in 1981, Val de Luce is first and foremost an award-winning producer of quality foies gras and terrines, run by Philippe Boucquez, Maître Artisan. Known first and foremost for its family spirit, the company, based in Thennes and firmly rooted in the region, quickly established itself on the market thanks to its founding values: top-of-the-range quality, a passion for the product, a desire to sublimate the terroir while respecting tradition and constantly innovating. In 2015, the company developed its delicatessen expertise with a range of individual jars that met with great success in 3, 4 and even 5-star hotels. The Vrai & Bon range of individual prepared dishes is the result of demanding research (Val de Luce has its own laboratory), and the advice of partner chef Michel Grobon (former chef at the Maison-Blanche).

The "Real" - authenticity, terroir and tradition - is combined with the "Good": gustatory and sanitary qualities. The range adapts to all everyday situations, and meets the current and growing demand for healthy snacking. In just 3 minutes, the dish is ready to eat. Reheated in its jar in the microwave (or bain-marie), it can be eaten without removing it from the jar. Starters and desserts can also be eaten from the jar. The range is comprehensive and offers a wide choice of dishes.

Starters, main courses, desserts - there's a choice of products for every part of the meal. Start, for example, with "Délice aux châtaignes et au foie gras", then choose from "Les Mijotés solo", "Les Mijotés à partager", a salad or a soup.

For dessert, you'll find classic French pastries such as baba au rhum, vanilla cream, apple crumble and rice pudding.

A commitment to sustainable development

The creation of the Vrai & Bon range is also part of a rigorous approach to respecting the environment. More than just local products, Val de Luce's products are mainly made from regional or French raw materials, minimizing transport by suppliers.

Our products are guaranteed to contain no added colorants or preservatives. Packaging is plastic-free, in 100% recyclable Weck glass jars. What's more, reheating in just a few minutes in the microwave proves to be the most energy-efficient reheating solution. What snack can claim to be so environmentally friendly?

The range even includes vegetarian dishes, such as a vegetarian tagine or Provençal-style gnocchi with wild garlic, showing once again that the company is adapting to the demands of its customers, who are increasingly concerned about the way they consume.

The products, manufactured in the Thennes workshop, are dispatched directly by a transport service provider, thus cutting out intermediaries (and minimizing the carbon footprint) and guaranteeing customers the shortest possible route. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is also a dimension observed at Val de Luce. This family-run business, located in a rural environment, is committed to the well-being of its employees. It ensures the health and safety of its employees. It also promotes education through partnerships with schools. In particular, Val de Luce works with BTS TC students from Le Paraclet (Somme).

An ISO 22 000-certified health guarantee

ISO 22 000 is an international standard that defines the requirements of a company's food safety management system. To renew this certification, an audit is carried out every year by an accredited organization. Certification guarantees that an organization has been set up to ensure that products are safe and wholesome.

The origin, production and behavior of Val de Luce's products are monitored by an in-house quality technician who ensures compliance with ISO 22 000 certification rules.

At the same time, strict quality controls are regularly carried out throughout the jar manufacturing process by an independent laboratory specialized in food safety. Val de Luce is also equipped with EEC-standard facilities.

The appertization and sterilization process also produces preserves with all the advantages that this can bring in terms of food safety and preserved product quality. Their passage through the autoclave ensures that the preserves are free from micro-organisms, and therefore have a minimum shelf-life at room temperature of four years.
