The Pozières Memorial is an impressive work, dedicated to the missing of the 4th and 5th Armies, which gives access to the British military cemetery known as the Columns. It was designed by the British architect W.-H. Colishaw (1869-1957). The ensuing necropolis contains the bodies of more than 2,700 soldiers from Great Britain, Australia and Canada. The names of the missing are inscribed on the walls surrounding the cemetery.
