Modern brasserie of northern dishes in Villeneuve-d'Ascq.
Welcome to Carmen, the modern canteen in the corner offices! All week long, regulars flock here between two appointments for a coffee or a gourmet lunch to be enjoyed in a cosy decor bathed in light, all light wood, hanging wicker nests and colourful cushions. On the slate, homemade classics, seasonal and fresh (they are delivered first thing every morning!): welsh and chicken fillet with maroilles (for the "d'ichi" selection!), scallops with porcini mushrooms or aperitif boards for the after-work... But the real secret of their success, it's a good bet that it lies in the good humour of Dominique and Medhi, the mischievous bosses of the place!

De passage pour un café hier vers 17h, j’ai été choquée de voir qu’une personne fumait librement au comptoir. Il me semble bien que cette jeune femme faisait partie du personnel. Doit-on encore, en 2023, rappeler la loi Evin, vieille de près de 20 ans qui interdit de fumer dans un lieu à usage collectif ? Article L3511-7 du code de la santé publique. Dommage car le lieu est sympa…
