Much more than a traditional amusement park, the Puy du Fou, voted "best park in the world", offers a unique experience!

A must-see theme park! Twice voted "Best Park in the World", Puy du Fou regularly wins international awards for the quality of its creations. The adventure began in 1977 with the discovery of the ruined Château du Puy du Fou. A year later, the Cinescénie show was created. A real success, this night-time show, performed entirely by volunteers, retraces the history of the Vendée during the Middle Ages. In 1989, the Grand Parc du Puy du Fou was created, launching shows with a historical dimension, as ambitious as they are impressive. In 2021, the Puy du Fou opens its park in Toledo, Spain. Le Puy du Fou is first and foremost a great show, with original and innovative creations that have earned it a national and international reputation. Dozens of entertainments designed for the whole family, including seven major shows. Le Signe du Triomphe ("Best European Creation" in 2022) takes us back to the 3rd century A.D., when Gaul was occupied by the Roman Empire, and takes place in a grandiose arena, where fights, gladiators and chariot races punctuate the show. At the finale of the Bal des Oiseaux fantômes, up to 300 birds of prey fly past the spectators in a unique, poetic ballet in the sky. In the village of Saint-Philbert-le-Vieil, you'll witness the Viking assault with a cascade of special effects: drakkars rising from the flames are a breathtaking spectacle! At the foot of the ramparts, knights clash in the middle of the Hundred Years' War in Le Secret de la Lance: sword fights, equestrian jousts... Voted "Best European Creation" in 2017, Le Dernier Panache presents the glorious destiny of a French naval officer, whose life is about to change in 1793. Also indoors, the Mousquetaire de Richelieu adventure is a remarkable cloak-and-dagger show in which combat gives way to flamenco ballet. Water games and horses on stage make this one of the most magical shows ever. As night falls, Les Noces de Feu, voted "Best Show 2020", sets the pond ablaze for a poetic journey to the heart of the romantic 19th century. An extraordinarily ambitious creation created in 2023, in Le Mime et l'Étoile, voted "Best Show in the World" in 2024, you'll witness the black-and-white filming of director Félix, convinced that only love can give his characters their voices and the true color of their faces. In 2025, to complete the journey, the Puy du Fou presents a new creation inspired by the world of the Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur's Sword. This new show features one of the forgotten knights of Arthurian legend who, through King Arthur's sword, was linked to the Puy du Fou lineage. This new show employs a number of large-scale, never-before-seen special effects, including machinery weighing over 40 tons in motion... And to celebrate this new show, the Puy du Fou is launching the most legendary and epic of treasure hunts, in search of King Arthur's sword!

Le Puy du Fou also offers dozens of immersive activities and attractions for the whole family, including Le Mystère de La Pérouse: a boat trip on explorer La Pérouse's ship, from the port of Brest to Cape Horn. A true-to-life experience, with the ship's movements and climatic effects recreated down to the finest detail. Costumed actors stroll among the visitors for total immersion. Three other immersive shows in the same genre are on offer: The First Kingdom, alongside Clovis, the famous king of the Franks; The Renaissance of the Château, a discovery of the splendors of the Renaissance; and The Lovers of Verdun, an intense experience with the Poilus of the First World War.

Last but not least, Le Puy du Fou is a superb 200-hectare site in the heart of a century-old forest, populated by animals and four period villages: Village Chasseloup, Font-Rognou, Bourg-Bérard and Saint-Philbert-le-Vieil. In each you'll find restaurants, snack bars and superb boutiques. To extend your journey back in time, the Puy du Fou welcomes you to the six hotels of the Cité Nocturne. The Villa Gallo-Romaine and its extension, the Rue Gallo-Romaine, invite you to step back in time to ancient Rome, while La Citadelle invites you to spend the night in the Middle Ages. At Logis de Lescure, discover the atmosphere of an authentic 18th-century Vendée house, and at Les Îles de Clovis, a hotel built entirely on stilts, you'll be transported back to Merovingian times. Le Camp du Drap d'Or takes you back to the Renaissance for a royal stay, in one of the flamboyant loggias of François I and Henry VIII of England! Last but not least, Le Grand Siècle hotel, surrounded by French gardens: visitors can stay under the golds of the Sun King. It's sure to make your family's stay even more unforgettable! Immerse yourself in the Puy du Fou's many skills through 5 discovery workshops (booking required). Go behind the scenes of the Falconry Academy, the Equestrian Academy or the Costume Workshop, accompanied by Puy du Fou experts, or become an actor by joining the Puy du Fou stuntmen for a few hours. All in all, a unique experience!
