Salt marshes Les Valencières where Thierry Odéon exerts his trade of saunier in Bouin.

Thierry Odéon is passionate about his job as a salt worker, which he has been doing for the past fifteen years. He learned all the secrets from his predecessor, Roger Guérin, and harvests this white gold as it was done in the old days, in short: in the purest Bouinese tradition. He owns 30 carnations. The "œillets" are the crystallizers in which the salt is collected. A footpath runs along the marsh, so after the visit continue your walk.

Nous avons passé un moment très agréable en écoutant Thierry, personne simple et amoureux de son travail.
Nous n'avons pas vu le temps passer à ses côtés.
Grand passionné, il s'est captivé petits et grands.
Boutique très garnie et a des prix attractifs.
La visite est gratuite et il faut réserver par téléphone.
