The village of Brûlon is well worth a visit to discover the heritage built around its feudal motte. Many historic buildings and remains can be seen. Several streets dating back to the medieval town are now lined with characterful houses dating from the ^15th to ^18th centuries, including the birthplace of the Chappe brothers, inventors of the optical telegraph during the revolutionary era. Brûlon's Romanesque church, open to visitors every day, has a guidebook inside.
