Founded in 1977 by a group of railway enthusiasts, the Transvap aims to preserve a railway heritage but also to travel: from Beillé to Bonnétable, you travel 17 km on board old locomotives. You will pass through Tuffé, Prévelles and finally Bonnétable. During the theme days, you will also discover the church of Beillé and its stained glass windows, the old abbey of Tuffé, the house of the potter of Prévelles and the garden of the castle of Bonnétable.

What a great little railway, station and museum. For the Industrial railway enthusiast this is a must visit if you are in Sarthe. An interesting collection of locos and railcars but it includes so much more including a Portable Steam engine. Great photo opportunities in the yard. My fifth visit and not my last

Les bénévoles se donne à 100 pour cent pour faire revivre se lieu .
