VINEYARD SLOPE

This 4.8 ha Natural Sensitive Area, located on the municipalities of Assé-le-Boisne and Fresnay-sur-Sarthe, is located near the Camping du Sans Souci, across the Sarthe. This site is characterized by outcrops and rocky escarpments on magnesian limestone overlooking the river. This limestone biotope welcomes rare plant species in the department such as the wooly Carthame, known here for more than a century, or the Cipled Pearl or the Little Pigamon. Among the animal species is the Snake Snake or the Quiet Aeschne, a delicate dragonfly. From this Sensitive Natural Area, a fantastic view of the Sarthe River and the Small City of Character of Fresnay-sur-Sarthe.
