Cointreau, the famous liqueur made from orange peel, was born in Angers! The Cointreau brothers founded their distillery in 1849, in the rue Saint-Laud, and it was in 1885 that Édouard invented this liqueur which is still the world-famous product of the company today. The distillery has been located in Saint-Barthélemy-d'Anjou since 1972. In the stills room, come and discover the production techniques and smell the subtle scents of orange peel...
