Abbey, founded in the 10th century, with a beautiful abbey church hosting exhibitions and events in the historic Doutre district.
Founded in the 10th century and rebuilt until the 16th century, this abbey church in the heart of the historic Doutre district is worth a visit in itself for its superb arched halls. A choice setting for art exhibitions. The common name "Ronceray", used for convenience, comes from the brambles surrounding the foot of a statue of the Virgin found in the crypt in 1527. If the abbey is used by the City for exhibitions, concerts or festivals, the old buildings are still occupied by religious congregations.
