The Kerbourg dolmens, located in Saint-Lyphard, are prehistoric collective tombs
The dolmens of Kerbourg are also called "dolmens of the island of La Motte". Both dating from the Neolithic period, these buildings are corridor dolmens, collective tombs used from the prehistoric period to the Celtic civilization. The first of the two is 7 m long and 3 m wide. According to the legend, a pagan procession used to come there to worship an idol which would be buried nearby... A second dolmen on the same site, called Kerbourg 2, is in a very bad state and has largely collapsed...
