Located a few minutes from the town of Riaillé, the Etang of the Poitevinière is connected to Lake Vioreau by a "food laugh". This forms a water network that was built under Napoleon I to regulate the level of the canal from Nantes to Brest. It is a private pond of 65 ha, but fishing routes are possible, especially for carp. The average weight of the catches and about 12 kg but the catch of fish over 20 kg is not uncommon and the record of the lake, a mirror carp, exceeds 30 kg! Fishing cards are available on-site.
