This chapel traditionally serves as a starting point for the cross of Pontchâteau's calvary. The construction of this one, dedicated to Notre-Dame du Rosary, began in late 1871. It was the Montfortains brothers who started the foundations. It was opened to worship in 1873 and consecrated on 12 October 1875. It is an important place for a large number of Montfortains. A apostolic school opened in 1876 right next to the chapel. It closed in 1970.
