An elephant made of wood, leather and metal, 12 m high, circulates through the naval quarters, spraying passers-by.

The famous pachyderm lives on the Ile de Nantes, under the naves of the Galerie des Machines. This elephant made of wood, leather and metal is 12 m high and weighs 48 tons. It moves around the shipyard district, spraying passers-by with water. You climb on its back from its steel cathedral to the Carroussel des Mondes Marins where it drops you off for a ride. An unusual walk of about 30 minutes to discover the old site of the shipyards and the quays of the Loire.

In summer, open every day: departures from 10:15 am to 6:15 pm. The rest of the year, the days and times vary according to the seasons. For more information, call or visit the website. Free for children up to 4 years old. Ticket 8,50 €. (adult), 6,9 € (child). Family pass from 30,2 €. Each ticket gives access to the terraces of the Machine Shop and the prototype Branch of the Heron Tree. Holiday voucher. Only guide dogs are accepted.
