La Grue Jaune boutique on rue Contrescarpe honors Nantes' iconic landmark
The boutique La Grue jaune has taken up residence in the Mail des Chantiers. It pays tribute to the emblematic Nantes landmark. In this bar-boutique establishment, she's the star! Present on all the goodies, her unique silhouette can be found on mugs, hats, caps, snow globes, bags, T-shirts, sweatshirts, socks, underwear, aprons, baby bodysuits and bibs... But also a selection of photographs by Cédric Blondeel, the man in charge of the site, who takes Nantes and its emblematic cranes as his subjects. Posters, postcards, art books like volumes 1 and 2: From Nantes. The boutique is constantly reinventing itself, featuring Nantes artisans such as Guerlais' La Grue jaune chocolate (a delicious, fine slab of milk chocolate and a dark chocolate crane with Nantes petit beurre praliné), or Le Jaune de la Grue (excellent organic Nantes pastis from Distiloire). An address for all lovers of Nantes savoir-faire!
