The CHU is committed to three missions: care, research and teaching. It offers standard and highly specialised medical and surgical services, 24-hour emergency care and alternatives to full hospitalisation. It consists of nine sites. New to come: in 2020, construction work began and in April 2026, the new university hospital will open its doors in its entirety on the Ile de Nantes.
