In the pleasant Olivettes district, the Zygo Bar is a colorful concert café. There's always something going on in this densely-packed venue. On stage, you'll find gypsy jazz, blues, rap, rock, folk, reggae and slam. There are also salsa and flamenco classes, exhibitions, games evenings and magic shows. The place is teeming with cultural and artistic news. On the menu: wines from local producers, quality beers on draught or the Zygonnette house shooter served in small bottles like a magic potion with the taste of Baileys enhanced by other secret ingredients.

Each month, the establishment announces a rich and diversified program: philo afternoons, live painting, mixes of all kinds, photo exhibitions, forums, rock, jazz or blues concerts, open slam stages, theatre, French song or evenings around an instrument (piano, cello) and the two chimneys in operation. Adjacent to the Micro Comedy Club, the Micro Barrr is there to take care of our refreshments and supplies. Warm place, we appreciate the beautiful privatizable mezzanine and the summer terrace. On the menu, the choice of drinks is varied. Beers, wines, soft drinks but especially cocktails and mocktails at low prices. We like the associations of the Moolz (pineapple, apple, basil and ginger) or the Lendemain (orange, lime, sparkling water and sugar). To nibble and accompany everything, let yourself be tempted by the boards, the sausages or the delicious vegan terrine. How about a drink at La Chaumière? This place, a former hotel and roadside restaurant located next to the future hospital, has been reenchanted in April 2023 by Nicolas Bernadeau and Enzo Merand. Following in the footsteps of the Écuries Mellinet, it is the new trendy artistic and cultural wasteland. Open every day, it combines restaurants and culture. Thursday is barbecue day. With a swinging program: salsa, dragqueen performances, artists like Pacon Tyson, but also game nights, DJ Sets, exhibitions, animations for children, games and an artists' residence with 4 rooms dedicated to them on the second floor. An eclectic program like the Gallia electronic music festival (end of May-beginning of June). The place does not forget the people in need and has opened 5 rooms for emergency reception.

Change of artistic direction for the Scène Michelet, former temple of Nantes metal. The association Big City Life takes the reins in order to animate this place impossible to circumvent of the Nantes nights during 3 years. Highly colorful, this establishment welcomes us through its many spaces. Concert hall on the floor, bar, living space or terrace. Every month, a metal night is proposed. However, in the main program: dance, electro evenings and visual arts performances. We discover various events around a drink and aperitifs. Kermesse, vide-dressing, concerts, vernissages or even beatbox championship. There is something for everyone!

New in Nantes for the pleasure of our zygomatic! The Smile Comedy Club puts a smile on our faces! This new venue, where humor is king, is located on rue Jean-Jaurès in Nantes. Once past the downstairs bar, we head for the mezzanine, which hosts the very best in stand-up comedy, with up-and-coming French and European performers to our delight. All with one aim in mind: to make us laugh with their offbeat humor and make for a superb evening! Two sessions are offered at 7 or 7.30pm and 9 or 9.30pm depending on the day. One of the venue's special features is the package with show admission and optional dinner-show! In addition to the friendly bar, the establishment has kept the chef (it used to be the restaurant Le Dilemme), so you can enjoy the talent of his cuisine as well as that of the artists! This isn't just any restaurant: it's a real offering of gourmet planks, with formulas of beautifully prepared tapas to share. We're particularly fond of the Smile board, with its crispy prawns, falafels, tapenade, patatas bravas and guacamole (to name but a few). And, of course, a hot and cold drinks menu. During the show, you can choose to dine (optional) or just have a drink, and be served at the table while enjoying the artists.
