The 2022/2023 season brought change to the ONPL, as it welcomed Sascha Goetzel as Music Director for the next 4 seasons. In 2023, he embarks on his second year with an attractive program and a new Europe Music Edition. A season of 32 programs. The ONPL choir will be in the spotlight, performing requiems by Mozart and Verdi. The choir will also be on hand for Heritage Days. There's also the opening concert with Franco-Serbian violinist Nemanja Radulovic, the Romantics with pianist Marie-Ange Nguci, Mozart's Requiem revisited by Pierre-Henri Dutron... and so much more to discover! Not forgetting film-concerts and family concerts(La cuisine de la cheffe, Le Tour du Monde en 80 jours, etc.). During the lunch break, you can also take advantage of our fantastic Pauses-concert series, featuring 45 minutes of music performed by a small group of musicians. Everyone will be able to vibrate to the sound of the music told by this talented orchestra, whose main mission is to create emotions. The promise of great moments in the company of the ONPL!

If it was at the beginning in 1916 a neighborhood dance hall, the Concorde is today an institution of the Zola and Chantenay neighborhoods, that Fanny and Sylvain Clochard keep alive 365 days a year. With its 4 screens, this superb neighborhood cinema, classified as "art et essai", is run by enthusiasts who offer us the chance to (re)watch recently released or older, cult films. Young audience screenings are regularly offered. A single common point: quality! For more than 100 years, the Concorde has been telling us stories, for our greatest pleasure! The cinema will even expand in 2027!

Built in the ^18th century by architect Mathurin de Crucy, it is a landmark in the city's landscape. The sumptuous Théâtre Graslin is home to the Angers Nantes Opéra, a program of opera, dance and concerts. The 2023-2024 season will feature the opera Béatrice et Bénédict (Hector Berlioz), Le Retour d'Ulysse dans sa patrie (Claudio Monteverdi), concerts by the Conservatoire "Romantisme... à la française", Cosa Rara and the family show Si tous les gars du monde. At Christmas, we'll be enchanted by the choiroratorio concert. For the sweet voices of the world, Les Mélismes des Steppes takes us on a journey to Mongolia, and the Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino to Puglia in Italy. Great shows to discover!

Excellent news: the Cité du Music-Hall has landed in Nantes and taken off in the Sémaphore hall on the Ile de Nantes. This 282-seat venue has been completely renovated, with comfortable blue seats and beautiful effects to enhance the shows. Rare in France, this human-scale venue is entirely devoted to music hall. We love the closeness between the audience and the performers, and have a really good time. Actors, dancers, singers and sometimes acrobats, we're delighted to discover the Revue de la Cloche and the diverse programming of the Cité du Music-Hall. Excellent news for promoting, preserving and supporting talented artists, and it's in Nantes!

Installed under the naves, Steréolux is a high place of the cultural life of Nantes. Composed of two halls, the largest called "Maxi" (up to 1,200 people) and the second "Micro" (400 people), the place hosts concerts throughout the year, but also exhibitions, shows for children, artists in residence, installations, workshops, screenings, conferences... Among the highlights are the Scopitone festival (electronic cultures and digital arts) in September and the Inrockuptibles festival in November. Pass the porch of the Compagnie du Café-Théâtre, sit back and enjoy the show! You'll understand why for more than 20 years it has been an essential part of the Nantes humor scene. In this atypical and warm place, you can laugh, have a drink and play. The rooms offer intimate and friendly shows. At the bar Chez Marius you can have a drink or a snack, meet the artists after their show. For those who wish to get on stage, the company offers courses and workshops. Since 2013, Agnès and Philippe Birsel have been at the helm of this small 100-seat theater. They offer a beautiful program in a small room with comfortable red seats that offers a real proximity with the actors. From Thursday to Sunday, there is theater in all its forms: classical, modern, comedy, humor and also music around jazz, gospel... If you want to try your hand at acting, theater courses are available for adults and young people. Courses for children are also offered during the school vacations. Just a step away from the Graslin theater, here is a small pocket theater with an intimate and warm atmosphere!

Improvisation for all is the aim of this league, which offers amateur workshops and courses for all levels. In addition, the league puts on shows in a number of venues in and around Nantes - as well as in companies - in three forms: Script'acte (as the words are spoken, the text is written and projected onto a screen), Blablabar (spectators propose words or situations to the actors on the fly), and the Match d'improvisation in which two teams face each other (at the Maison de quartier de Doulon and the Coup du Lapin in particular). This year, you'll be able to see his new show Cabaret.

The TNT is a performance hall opened in 1998. The place was created and thought by actors as a space of creations and meetings. It offers shows for all audiences, including a program for the youngest which has been a great success. To come here is to discover the regional cultural melting pot with theater, circus, as well as music, dance, humor, poetry, tales and readings... without forgetting the exhibitions! A multidisciplinary stage, dedicated to emerging artists, which hosts more than 500 performances per year and more than 20,000 spectators. It is worth noting that you can learn acting here thanks to numerous theater workshops open to adults, with themes based on musicals, contemporary theater, theater in Spanish... At the end of the year, a real performance will punctuate this learning process. Teenagers will be able to take advantage of improvisation theater classes.

The Théâtre du Sphinx in Nantes, founded 33 years ago by Patrice Fourreau, has just been rejuvenated under the management of Christèle Guéry and Julie Toublanc. The new managers have undertaken modernization work while preserving the unique soul of this charming private theater, dear to the heart of its founder, who passed away in 2020. The eclectic and varied program, ranging from contemporary theater to stand-up comedy, one-man-shows, music and dance, remains faithful to the spirit of proximity intended by Patrice.

The Cinématographe is Nantes' oldest cinema, showing films since 1908. Housed in the former chapel of the Carmelites, it's pure charm: a single room with exposed stone walls, old-fashioned armchairs and big red curtains. Its aficionados are loyal! In terms of programming, it specializes in art house films. The cinema also offers special slots for young audiences. We'll be taking advantage of this place steeped in history before its planned move to the Cours des 50-Otages in early 2026.

This community cinema in the Saint-Jacques district was created in 1928 and still operates largely thanks to its volunteers. Classified as an Art et d'Essai cinema since 1983, it has a capacity of about 350 seats (accessible to people with reduced mobility). The program mixes new and older films. Sessions are available for the deaf and hard of hearing. The Bonne-Garde has been awarded the "Young Audience" label, and children are given a special place! Times are also organised for seniors. A great local cinema for young and old!

Since its creation in 1994, the Pannonica has earned a good reputation among jazz and improvised music lovers. Located under the Paul Fort hall in Talensac, it welcomes every season various artists from the region and elsewhere. One feels good in this convivial and intimate space (the capacity is 140 places), thanks to this spirit of opening proper to the adventurers of jazz. Be careful, here, no jazz called "of repertory". But since jazz feeds freely on other musical styles, one will be able to appreciate nice artistic crossings with hip-hop, rock or songs... On the program in 2022/2023 : The Big-Band of the Conservatory of Nantes, Armel Dupas, Designers, Lukas Traxel Trio... Go there and soak up these rich inspirations. The place also organizes shows for young audiences, exhibition openings, concerts in the homes of residents and regularly opens its stage, the opportunity to jam.

Near the Talensac Market, La Bouche d'air is a human-sized venue with a rich and varied program. The 2022-2023 season was worthy of its anniversary (40 years in June 2023!) and of its desire to honor current music with concerts by Cali, La Grande Sophie, les Fouteurs de joie, Fred Pellerin, Marcia Hugelin, Yves Jamais... We don't forget the aperitif-concerts organized by the hall! Regularly, cultural actions are proposed to sensitize new audiences. The accompaniment in the act of creation is also part of the missions of the Bouche d'Air which welcomes several artists in residence. A warm and intimate room. The 2023-2024 program is to be discovered!

For many years, the theatre of the 7 leagues (T 7 L for the intimate) presents its suitcases here and there. The travelling structure moves and offers theatre at home. Not a hard structure but two yurts that can contain between 10 and 70 people. The theatre of the 7 leagues offers many forms of artistic intervention: they can come to you to take ownership of your residence, which will transform the time of a night in theatre… They also intervene with cultural institutions. At last, the 7-leagues theatre offers parts for children and schools, as well as theatre workshops for 8-12 years and 13-17 years during school holidays.

Located on the banks of the Saint-Félix canal, a stone's throw from the SNCF train station and the city center, the former Lu cookie factory was transformed into an atypical art center - the Lieu Unique - on January^1, 2000. This multidisciplinary artistic space has become the city's emblematic cultural den, recognized nationally and internationally. With a performance hall, a flexible exhibition space and workshops on the floors, it explores the plastic arts, theater, dance, circus, music, literature, philosophy, architecture, the culinary arts... All this in an effervescent atmosphere, further enhanced by all the services offered and renovated in 2013: bar, restaurant, bookstore, steam room, store with unusual and creative objects, visit to the Lu Tower - it's a real place to live! Le Lieu Unique aims to be a space for artistic exploration and a hub of activity that mixes cultures and audiences. The Cité des Congrès de Nantes is the first convention center in the Grand Ouest region. It can host conventions and trade shows for an audience of 300 to over 3,000 people. Under the name Les Laboratoires Vivants, this is a new project, a new era for this 348-seat municipal facility located in the heart of the city. Since 2019, the Théâtre Francine Vasse has been directed by Yvann Alexandre, and is part of a generous project involving professionals, young audiences and amateurs. The theater program is open to dance and contemporary writing, and invites a wide range of audacious proposals at low prices. We give priority to new works, as well as to Francophonies, in this place of production and transmission. The flagship program, "Êtres en création", offers local residents, including beginners, the chance to experiment and discover artistic universes and practices free of charge through contact with the season's artists. Today, the Théâtre Francine Vasse is a true home for creation and professional and amateur artistic practices. It's a theater that goes through and through, with people at its heart and at the heart of its project. The program?
