The only one of its kind on the Côte de Jade, this lake attracts local and family tourists from the very first rays of sunshine. It is the result of the transformation of the port site into a leisure water area, allowing safe bathing at any time of day, without being dependent on the tides. This 2.5-hectare stretch of sea has access to the beach. Swimming is supervised in summer, and a variety of water sports activities are available.

plan d'eau de la bernerie en retz
ce plan d'eau qui était très agréable, l'est beaucoup moins aujourd'hui. J'ai été déçue lors de ma dernière baignade le 17/6/2019 car le plan d'eau est très vaseux maintenant et c'est malheureusement désagréable. Espérons que la mairie fera un nettoyage pour l'été.

Prefer to go there in season, because otherwise mud invades the foot of the stretch of water somewhat.
But it is always pleasant to swim without taking the tides. Especially in Bernerie where the sea can escape far away.
