It is built on the site of a vast mérovingien cemetery, of which ancient sarcophagi were extracted and preserved in Nantes at the Dobrée museum. According to legend, the first stones carried for its construction were miraculously moved from night to the summit where it was erected. During the Revolution, it served as a cantonment for the Republican armies. Desecrated in 1793, it was restored in 1855 by Abbot Beaudineau. He placed the statue of Saint Radegonde, very venerated, and made his bell bless. In the choir of the choir, there is a representation of the "Red Road", witness many massacres. The chapel was restored again in 1962. Note, at the foot of the hillside, a cave that is the replica of that of Massabielle in Lourdes.
