Visit the church of Saint-Guenolé, to admire its imposing lantern tower, and offering real works of art, stained glass windows

Listed as a historical monument, its imposing lantern tower dominates the salt marshes. In Breton Gothic style, made of local granite, admire the ribbed vaults, historic keystones, large openings, stained glass windows, height, gargoyles, buttresses... The interior offers true works of art, including the famous statue of Our Lady of the Precious Blood enthroned in the Chapel of the Rosary, stained glass windows recounting the key events in the town's religious history, and an organ with a case dating from the 17th century, the oldest in the region.

L'église Saint-Guénolé de Batz sur Mer est situé au coeur du village, pas très loin du musée des marais salants. On y trouve des décorations maritimes et des panneaux explicatifs sur certaines particularités. Il est aussi possible de faire une visite commentée.

je ne vais que tres rarement sur les visites commentées d'église, mais étant en avance au rdv avec des amis, je me suis dit pourquoi pas.
Et bonne surprise la guide etait tres sympa et passionnée, j'ai appris plein de choses et ai passé un moment très agréable.
