Castle-museum, the first castle in Europe founded without a traditional keep, with collections including sugpiak masks.
This museum is housed in the 13th century castle built by Count Philippe de Hurepel. It is the first castle in Europe built without a traditional keep. The collections will take you on a journey around the world: Greek and Egyptian archaeology, extra-European ethnography, fine and decorative arts, local history. And a unique collection of Sugpiak masks, an Alaskan ethnic group still alive today. The Salle Comtale hosts temporary exhibitions.

Les expositions sont bien mais ce que j'ai préféré c'est le château en lui même, en très bon état. Je ne m'attendais pas à trouver un tel château à Boulogne

A ne pas manquer ; expos permanentes , expos temporaires et surtout activités proposées aux enfants pendant les vacances scolaires
pretty museum, allow 2 visiting times, do not miss the tours by the foundations of the rampart with a beautiful setting in light and the unmissable mummy. ideally located to finish with a visit to the old town
