DESTINATION COLLINES ET PLAINES D'ARTOIS

The tourist offices of Lens-Lievin and Arras have joined forces to create "Destination Collines et Plaines d'Artois", whose aim is to pass on the memory of the First World War by promoting the memorial sites of the Collines et Plaines d'Artois (Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Necropolis, Vimy Memorial, Wellington Quarry...). This territory, crossed by the front line, saw important battles and human losses of several nationalities between 1915 and 1918.
