Restaurant offering semi-gastronomic cuisine and always exquisite dishes in Gognies-Chaussée.
No manners but taste. The Old Oak in Gognies-Causeway should delight both the grands and the gourmets. The base is well presented and served with a smile. The kitchen is largely a semi-gastronomic, if only by the chef's ideas. A man who likes to mix the genres. Salad of gizzards to raspberries, paved with beef in brie, panga in the St. James: there is no shortage of arguments. And the traditional is just as seductive: Roquefort snails, stuffed with champagne and gribiche beef tongue. Always exquisite dishes, always enhanced by a rather amazing sauce. Excellent value for money. Old Oak is a little bit of the hostel where you can take back forces after climbing a hill pass. The framework also evokes in a way a mountain chalet with a traditional fireplace. But the little more is the family reception that starts with a totally unexpected antipasti plate. An address to know at a stone jet from the Belgian border.
