Every second weekend in September, the traditional Fête des Nieulles brings the town of Armentières to life. A parade of floats, the crowning of the queen, a flea market, concerts, a funfair and more. Armentières is bright and cheerful. Workshops are free and open to children aged eight and over - a great way to get them involved in the Nieulles festival! On Sundays, round, shortbread cookies (the famous nieulles, a local specialty) are thrown from the belfry. The popular jubilation in the North is as impressive as ever!
