La Poterie de l'Esperluette is a craft workshop located in Montaigu-de-Quercy. For the past fifteen years, Danièle Akrich has been creating utilitarian and decorative objects in stoneware. All pieces are made and decorated by hand, then fired in an electric kiln at 1280°C. The glazes used are the result of personal research and are composed of feldspar, kaolin, chalk, talc and silica. The studio offers two collections: the sgraffito stoneware collection, engraved with motifs on the outside and glazed on the inside in blue, which has been around for ten years, and the new mixed stoneware collection, glazed on the inside and with soft, warm colors on the outside, developed over the past two years. Visitors can discover these collections online or by visiting the workshop. Poterie de l'Esperluette offers a variety of objects such as bowls, mugs, pitchers, vases, plant hangers and more.
