Workshop in the historic center of Caussade, offering a unique visit to discover all types of hats

The "formier" is the craftsman who carves blocks of lime wood to serve as molds for all types of hats. This is a rare craft, listed by UNESCO. The workshop is located in the historic center of Caussade, in an atypical house dating back to the ^13th century. Didier Laforest works with wood. Discover how the shapes born of designers' imaginations are reproduced by the goldsmith's hands of the woodworker. A unique visit!

Visite très intéressante, on sent que M. Laforêt est passionné par son métier. On peut voir chaque étape de création ainsi que la place du chapeau dans l'histoire.
